The Rendezvous

This is the May 2008 newsletter of the Bridgerland Meadows Homeowners Association. This website / blog contains the same information as the printed newsletter and allows the opportunity to make comments about any of the issues in this month’s newsletter or to view previous editions of the newsletter. As urgent notices are received throughout the month, they will be posted immediately, so check back regularly, or you can set it up as an RSS feed through the program of your choice. This is not an official form of communication with the HOA Management. It is provided to increase community awareness, involvement, and communication.

I am a little discouraged with the landscaping at Bridgerland Meadows. One of the main reasons I purchased here was because I wouldn't have to maintain the yard. I was also lead to believe that my monthly HOA dues would go into keeping our landscaping looking good.
I have no idea how many units are occupied here, but I figured if there are 150, each paying $55 a month, that is $8,250 coming in each month. I know that this pays for other expenses as well, but I would think that with this much money they could afford to hire someone to weed. I am sick of pulling into the development and driving past rocks that are filled with weeds, and grass that is being overtaken with weeds. If I were a prospective buyer, I would take note of that. I purchased when everything was covered in snow, so I didn't know it was going to be like this.
I want this to be a good place to live, I want our home prices to stay up, but the developers are doing a good job of putting a really bad taste into everyone's mouth. I wish they could get things figured out.

Yes, I agree! Is there someway we can get some accountability for those funds??? We should have the right to know where they are going and how they are being spent.

We also should have say on which landscaping company we use and whoever they are using now - is not doing the job.

I'm not a fan of law suites. But our rights have been neglected for too long.

It may be time to take legal action against the developer.

I am also not one for lawsuits, but I agree that it is time to take legal action against the developers. I would be more then happy to help in the process.
