Home Maintenance

Your garage door will run quieter and last longer if you perform regular maintenance. You can buy garage door lubricant to apply to the wheels and tracks. If you think that further attention may be necessary, contact any garage door installer and request a regular maintenance adjustment.

What exactly does the HOA fee we pay cover. Dont we pay that for some general up keep of the outside of the homes? were still waiting on some stuff to be done with the frame work of our garage.

I would also like to know what it is that we pay for.

The HOA fee covers hazard insurance on the buildings, lawn care, snow removal and most of the water for the development. Homeowners are charged a small monthly assessment for water on their Logan City Power bill. It does cover general up keep on the exterior of the buildings.
The frame work has been completed on your garage today. This was not a HOA expense.

Sharon is very good at taking care of things very quickly. Give her and the developers a chance. They always address the issues I have presented. Stop complaining until you talk with Sharon, and then you have reason to complain. Man, did anyone read the CCR's before purchase. The developers are constantly repeating themselves!! Try getting involved in our community. Don't you realize that by down talking so much you are ruining the value of our homes? No one will want to purchase here and we will be stuck, unable to sell--living in a rental community!!

When can the homeowners take over the HOA? I know that it was supposed to happen when the development was completed, but since we have paused construction I think it should happen sooner.

I agree, Sharon is fabulous and does her job well. It's the developers that are dealing with this cable mess unsuccessfully that are causing a problem. And I think it's responsible for residents to get the word out on what needs to improve. It's not a responsible thing to do to keep quiet about fixable problems just to increase the value. If we want the value increased on this development, we'll continue to reasonably expect what was promised.

Thanks for the response, as well as sending Mike over. He's a great guy! and it looks good. I think the same day almost that i posted my question, Mike came knocking at our door.

The residents are definitely NOT able to handle taking over the HOA at this point and time (I am a homeowner). It would be a disaster! We need to build a community for ourselves and find the true leadership before that can happen. From reading this blog, I am a bit afraid of letting anyone who responds to it be in charge. The information about the HOA is in the CCR's by the way.
