Technology Update

Negotiations with a new technology provider are progressing. Dave Springer, the agent in charge of acquiring a new contract, believes it will happen in the next 30-45 days. However, his optimism must be tempered with the fact we have already been waiting for several months. There are, however, indications of progress as the company representatives were on site earlier this month taking measurements and running calculations.

You should have received invoices from the HOA/Development Management. As explained earlier, they have had to assume control of all billing and obligations to continue providing services as Quadra Media is completely out of business. Any questions or problems should be directed to Sharon and she will contact the appropriate individuals. If you have a past due balance on your invoice please contact Sharon to address the issue. Please pay your current bills on time as the funds are sent directly to DISH and Rigidtech to continue providing services.

Why has our internet been so slow lately? Some days it won't even let me get on from more than a minute. I'm really getting frustrated. I know that you are in negotiations but something needs to be happening now. School is starting and not having a reliable internet is not an option.

Can you give us more information on the types of servises we will be getting with this new provider?

Such as:
Will the Internet speed be faster?
Will we receive HD programming?
Will we be issued a DVR box for no cost?
Will we have different packages to choose from?
Will the cost remain the same?

I would really like answers to these questions. Also has there been anymore progress?

On another note, are our security systems still functioning as they should? Or did the bankruptcy stop that service? We did a test on ours this afternoon and never received a call that our alarm had been tripped. That is another concern of mine.

Come on. Is it really that hard I mean get your stuff together this should be top priority. This should have been solved lets see 12-14 months ago. Now we have to wait 2 months before a decision is made then another 2 months for you guys to get it set up.

Hmm Still No improvement in the service. If anything the speed seems to have slowed immensely in the past 2 weeks. Please update us on the situation.

Internet speed seem to be worse, the last 2 weeks the internet has fallen to a near crawl. Looks like it is happening to everyone. I have got to tell you, with this crappy television service, slow internet, and no security. If I was not forced to pay the monthly $99, I don't think I would pay $10 for the service I am receiving.

I really rather have no service then what I am getting now. Is there any way to get out of it?

I have not even received any credits, I have had crappy service for 2 years now and I have continued to pay it thinking one day it would get better. That one day has passed a long time ago. Now I just want out!

I often cannot even send emails because of the extremely slow internet connection (let alone watch an instant movie from my netflix account). :(

If our internet goes out over the weekend, who can we call since the office is only open M-F.

If your internet goes down over the weekend. Please contact Michael @ Rigidtech @ 801-386-9814 or 435-731-0444. Please leave a message with Sharon @ 755-7829 and let her know your internet was down so she can follow up with it.

You like how the internet went out because of a power flicker until we contacted michael to get it back up? That's because this place is too cheap to buy UPS's (Universal Power Supplies) for the networking building so the hardware has backup power.

Still no update on any features we will be getting with this "Provider Switch"? I know it is not going to happen for probably another 5 years. But maybe a features list would get me past this months, "We are working on a contract, be patient" Technology update.

Sure is hard to get an accurate feel of what is going on, when you don't post comments. Checking comments for bad language is one thing, but not posting comments because they give you a bad image is another. Why is it that my comment that had no foul language did not get posted? It was not rude or hurtful to anyone. It simply asked for more information on the new technology packages. This has given me one more reason to believe you guys are being totally dishonest with us, about the technology issues. Maybe more is being hidden from us, not real way to tell now. Thanks for ruining what little trust I had for this management.

We don't know what programming we will have with the new provider. We are not hiding anything or being dishonest. As soon as we have a contract, we will inform you of the programming and features that will be available.

All this over-the-top inconvenience could have been avoided had the HOA (which does not represent us well) just given us the freedom to have our own providers and not force us into something that doesnt work and not beneficial to us!! Then all the HOA wants is money because it's coming out of "their pocket". Sure, lets not worry about "OUR POCKETS"!!!
