Technology Update

We were hoping very much to have a agreement worked out with Comcast by the time this newsletter was sent. However, several issues are still being addressed. These issues center on Comcast's decision to spend the necessary dollars to bring services to the development. Given the conditions of the economy, their decisions are weighed very carefully. It would seem that being able to immediately hook up 130 customers would justify their spending the funds to get to the development. But, as stated before they are a large company and decisions such as this are not made locally and expansion dollars compete with projects all over the country. Having said this, we are still hopeful that they will decide to supply our subdivision and the new senior development east of Bridgerland Meadows. We will keep you appraised as negotiation continue.

Stop passing the blame on to Comcast. It's not them that needs to put up the money. It is the developers that should have done it right in the first place.

I thought the agreement had already been made? Otherwise why would we be waiting 90 days for the buildout? I guess this is just another one of those things that will never happen and we will have to hear about for the next 2 years.

Dear Anonymous:
If you will refer to the January newsletter, you will notice we stated: "We are working with Comcast to finalize a contract... We are hopeful that Comcast will be able to begin construction within the next few weeks". We did not say that we had a agreement. The problem we are encountering with Comcast is the downturn in the economy may dictate to them not to take on any more expansions at this time. We are looking for a final answer from them this week.

So what is the consensus then? We have to wait to hear if they will do it. Then wait 90 days for them to install. Then wait for them to come to each individual unit to hook up there? That is fantastic.

Our intent is to keep this moving as fast as we can. We would love to have Comcast come into the development and make everyone happy at last.

A Comcast truck was driving around the complex on Saturday. Is that good news?

Channels 15, 24, 26, 30, 34 and 48 have been gone for a couple days now and I'm just wondering if it's just our house or if everyone is having the problem and why?

The TV channels have been fixed. Dish Network has been doing some smart card upgrades. Please call Sharon if you have any problems.
